Case studies and success stories
1. Collin Moseki
How I became “Addicted to Business and Addicted to life”

Collin comes from a rural village outside Rustenburg called Kanana. He is one of seven siblings.
After completing matric, Collin enrolled at a University but dropped out and became cynical and depressed about life.
He wasn’t prepared to work for a boss but wasn’t prepared to work in a team either. Collin recalls that he held
an attitude of entitlement. He was “owed” a job, a means of income from the mines, from “them”.
In 2002 Collin enrolled with Addicted to Business(A2B) for a year and during a weekend camp with A2B,
realized that he was only able to make meaning of this world
with and through others. This insight led
Collin to “explore the good things in himself” and to share with others. He is remembered at A2B for always
having a book at his side. He reflects that he really “got into” reading and read every book they had in the library at A2B.
After A2B training, Collin has worked mostly in sales and motivation. Prior, Collin worked as a fitness
instructor for Virgin Active. His manager told me: "How did you guys get it right to
breed people like
him: he
makes decisions and takes responsibility, rather than waiting for something to happen to him.
I want more of these type of people!

Currently living in Sinoville, Collin at 32 is married to a really lovely lady. He is also a good father,
who takes responsibility for his family and has deeper values.
Collin is very clear about the A2B programme; “It helped me turn my attitude to life around- forever”.
From a cynical ‘varsity drop-out’ to a responsible father and husband who takes life more seriously,
Collin wants to add to the stock of good and great things this life has to offer. “I owe it to my child”
he says with a twinkle in his eye.
He regularly keeps in touch with A2B who he sees as a portion of himself. Recently, he came to check
us up at our HO in Pretoria to tell us how things are in his life and to introduce his wife and propose
to market the A2B programme. He believes in it, therefore he can sell it with confidence. Everybody
needs the A2B mind changing experience
2. Jemina Maotoe
There is that old saying; “I cried because I had no shoes until I met a man with no feet.” Jemina was
born in 1978 without legs. This 30 year old woman, from Soshanguve is married with two children.
Jemina comes from a family of 13 children, 1 died of Aids, 2 others died of unknown causes. Jemina’s
mother denied that she( the crippled) was her child and Jemina had to fight for identity and survival all her life.

Jemina was identified as a person with a good attitude and potential while she was still at a
special school in Soshanguve. In 2004 Jemina wheeled herself into Vivienne’s community project
office at Medunsa,…never to be the same again! Jemina began working as an administrative assistant
where she was taught all the skills that she has today. Two years later, Jemina offered entrepreneurial
training for a non-profit organization which she did for over six years.
One of Jemina’s passions is writing and telling stories in her native tongue, seTswana.
She has written many short stories and uses these to great effect in her training sessions.
Today, Jemina is a unique person and acts as an agent of change with us in the A2B programmes.
Her presence and grace motivates the disadvantaged youth we seek to empower. Jemina acts as a
motivational speaker and is keen to use her life experience as a motivation for others on wider stages.
Jemina is also a successful entrepreneur running an ablution cleaning service with 4 staff. She is
the breadwinner and earns a good income. She additionally is able to save up monies for her children
for future tertiary education. She is free from the shackles of her past and determined to sustain the
shift that she has made in her family for the betterment of her children and the future generation.
Jemina is a member of the E Hubs board representing the constituents that the E Hubs serves. She is a
go- getter and excellent role model.
